I’m not sure why I’m ever surprised when I’m bad at an athletic activity. My brain has obviously not processed that I am not longer a mean-lean-queen-of-the-monkey-bar-machine. I know I’m not that good at frisbee because I play on a regular basis and that serves as a pretty solid reminder, but with other activities I sometimes just forget.

Conference calls were obviously designed to test whether someone was human. Anyone who can make it through an hour of a conference call without intense psychological pain is a witch*, or one of those weird reptilian creatures that some people think the American presidents are** and should be somehow punished.

I do not think that reading “The Unquiet Grave” is good for my mental health. Aside from the fact that Palinurus is a sexist,racist anglophile his dwellings on Angst (yes capital A) and general neurosis are really getting to me. Additionally, I would really like to understand even a hint of French, which is just not the case.

My creative non-fiction class is killing me. I’m only 700 words into this class, why can I think of nothing to say? This is what I get for not writing a linear narrative about that oh-my-god-such-a-big-deal moment in my life. Thing is, I can’t even make up anything for four pages because I don’t have the brain capacity at this point to come up with four pages of non-melodrama...

Sure, maybe if I was going to school in an English speaking country this would be one thing because I could peruse the universities website until I found course listings, however in Spain, this is not the case. ...
